A little girl, who is not very strong, but is the king of welding. She is the champion of China in the international competition. This little girl is Chen Jie, the 8357 sub-branch of No. 3 branch of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation and also the winner of the second IPC manual welding competition (China Competition).

Chen Jie, 35 years old, has been working for 15 years. She looks at a little girl. After graduating from technical school, she worked in 8357 sub-branch, from an ordinary workshop technician to a technical backbone. At first, she was also very afraid of those difficult jobs, but she trained excellent technology through tenacity. Chen Jie once received a very hard work-a case. In those days, she almost thought in her mind the inner wiring arrangement even when she ate, slept and walked. At last, when she was cooking a day, she suddenly realized the reasonable and feasible wiring pattern, she picked up the notebook and drew the wiring diagram.

On one occasion, the workshop received a lot of urgent and difficult tasks. The backbones of technology, including Chen Jie, kept on working day after night for more than a month. In the late night overtime, Chen Jie “broke out”. Faced with the cards piled up in front of her by the director, she complained loudly to the director, “this is too much work. I haven't slept much for days!” But the work in her hands wasn’t stopped for a moment. The product was still perfect, which was called “artwork”. After finishing the works, she went to the director to ask for more works.

As the only representative from China, Chen Jie will go to the United States to participate in the IPC global manual welding competition. “By that time, I will represent the China, and the pressure is greater.” However, no matter how intense the game is, the moment I sit in the front desk, the familiar feeling can calm me down. This feeling probably comes from a solid work at ordinary times.” Chen Jie said.
