HVTC has Sent Four Teachers to Zambia for Educational Supports

Harbin, October 21, 2016—Four teachers from School of Electric Engineering and School of Manufacturing Engineering, namely, Zhao Dan, Liu Wancun, Lin Kai and Wang Weiei, left for Zambia to provide technical supports and trainings for the working staff there. They are the first group of teachers went to Zambia launched by China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. (CNMC). Vice president Liu Jianguo went to the airport to see them off. They will take preparatory trainings in English speaking, reading, writing and listening for ninety three days and then they will take missions of providing trainings for the working staff in CNMC Zambian branch concerning the fields of electric, manufacturing, welding and so on.

Harbin Vocational & Technical College has been identified as one of the continuing education bases for the working staff training in national nonferrous metal industry by the National Nonferrous Metal Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee since 2015 and we are committed to the pilot work of “go globe” in the nonferrous metal industry. It is a further step forward in the international cooperation and exchange works that we have this delegation to Zambia and also it is a tryout for Harbin Vocational & Technical College in implementing the strategy of “going globe”.

On October 18, 2016, we held the preparatory meeting for this delegation. Mr, Wang Changwen, Party Secretary and Vice-president Liu Jianguo attended this meeting. Mr. Wang expressed his appraises to four teachers for their dedication to this mission and also he hoped that four teachers should study hard to improve their capabilities in English teaching, cultivate their individual thinking modes and methods and proactively expand their interactions with others, broaden their horizon and integrate into local cultures. The teachers expressed their confidence that they will keep in mind the hope given by the leaders and will complete the mission successfully.
