Harbin Vocational & Technical College Ranks Top 50 National Higher Vocational  Sends the Second Group of Teachers to Zambia to Conduct Skills Training on Motor Maintenance

 On the afternoon of September 8, 2017 local time in Zambia, Skills Training on Motor Maintenance was officially launched in Chambishi Copper Smelting Co. Ltd. Mr. Li Rongting, deputy manager of this cooperation, said in his speech that the number of Zambian working staff was larger than Chinese ones, however, they were short of professional technicians and could not satisfy their needs, severely hindering their development. This training injected strong impetus and enhanced the confidence of the company in professional skills training. Our teacher Sun Huimin showed that she would elaborately prepare the lessons to ensure the training quality and complete teaching tasks.

Sun Huimin was in charge of lessons and practical trainings on Motor and electrical control, PLC program design, motor troubleshooting and so on. In order to make this training contents more targeted, Sun Huimin and her teaching team had on-field investigations to many enterprises to have a better understanding of basic conditions of enterprises and working staff, know about the production process and the operation condition of motors. The Zambian working staff did not have systematic training and did not operate the motors in accordance with operation regulations in the real operation, thereby resulting motor breakdown. Sun Huimin made teaching materials and plans on daily motor maintenance and repair and electric motor inspection and prepared PPTs on Motor structure analysis, installation and debugging of typical circuit of electrical control, motor PLC control program design, motor maintenance process and common faults. This training is mainly solving the problems such as nonstandard operation, unsystematic knowledge and having no capability to repair motor failures, which was received warm welcome by the enterprise and working staff.
