Our President Liu Shen led a delegation to pay a visit to Sakhalin University in order to expand our international cooperation and exchanges, serve the construction of “Belt and Road Initiative”and “China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor” and improve out international influence and absorb advanced college-running concepts and experiences. The delegation led by President Liu Shen included Mr. Sun Baiming, head of Department of Teaching Affairs, Mr. Xia Qingshan, head of Department of Students’Enrollment and Employment, Ms. Li Xiaolin, dean of School of Construction Engineering and Ms. Yong Liying, dean of Electric Engineering and two sides had deep communications on cultural exchanges and college-running.

October 31, 2017-President Liu Shen visited Sakhalin University and met the president and vice-presidents of Sakhalin University. President Liu shen introduced our approaches to conduct vocational education “going global”  , plans and ideas of educational cooperation with Russia and he showed that we need to conduct advantaged specialties docking focusing on our respective college-running characteristics, enhance  cultural exchanges and promote common development.  President of Sakhalin University, on behalf of Sakhalin University, extended his warm welcome to our president’s return visit and spoke highly of his plans and ideas and put forward constructive suggestions for the issues on R&D collaboration, advantaged specialty skills training and teacher-students’ exchanges.

During his visit, the delegation toured around College of Technology, College of Petroleum and Natural Gas, College of Marine Life of Sakhalin Universityand practical training bases and labs in relevant colleges. 

Our president and his delegation were also received by the first deputy mayor of South Sakhalin who spoke highly of our cooperation and exchanges and placed on good wishes.

Our college and Sakhalin University reached agreements on the issues such as establishment of branches in both sides, employing visiting professors, developing regular mutual visits, sending foreign students, collaborating R&D approvals and sending students to attend competitions and cultural exchanges.

Sakhalin University was founded in 1948, located in South Sakhalin. It boasts beautiful sceneries with full-time students of 7000 and it is a comprehensive university by Ministry of Education of China
